Ministry of Railways has constituted a committee to examine the concerns of the candidates of CEN 01/2019 (Non Technical Popular Categories) and CEN RRC-01/2019 vide Order No. ERB-1/2022/23/06 dated 26.01.2022 . (Level 1). Now it has been decided as

Candidates 20 times unique as per pay level will be shortlisted for Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) for CEN 01/2019 (NTPC). Candidates already declared qualified will continue to be eligible. The list of additional candidates to be shortlisted will be notified at each pay level. RRB wise 2nd stage CBT for each pay level, all the candidates of an RRB will be accommodated in a single shift which will eliminate normalization. Where single shift is not possible due to capacity constraints or other reasons, percentile based normalization will be done.

CEN RRC-01/2019 (Level-1) will be a single stage examination. There will be no second stage CBT. RRC wise CBT will be conducted for Level-1. It is also recommended to reduce the number of shifts involved for each RMS and utilize the maximum available capacity to expedite the examination process. The percentile based normalization, which is simple and easy to understand, will be used where the number of shifts involved is more than one. The medical standards prescribed in the Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM) will be used for various
